đ» Fashion vs. Artificial Intelligence: Who Really Decides the Trends?

Tonight, while I was relaxing in my bath đ, a thought crossed my mind (after a long conversation with someone I greatly admire đ©·): What if AI is quietly redefining my wardrobe without me even realizing it?
You know, that same AI that predicts what Iâll want to eat for dinner before Iâve even thought about it? Except here, itâs fashion on the line, and if it predicts trends as well as my predictive shopping apps, it could mean my next purchases are already in my cart⊠before I even know what I want to wear. Kinda creepy, right?
Speaking of shopping, I donât know about you, but I remember a time when choosing an outfit felt like an adventure: the stress of not having enough options, running between racks, and most importantly, wondering if this color would really suit me. But all that was before AI.
Today, fashion platforms know my tastes better than I do (or at least, they try with the algorithm as their ally đ).
Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way we consume.
Imagine a world where you no longer have to spend hours scrolling through endless pages of clothes online. AI directly suggests pieces that match your tastes, size, and style. All thanks to data! Tons of data. With each click, each view, each item purchased, a more precise picture of your preferences is formed.
It sounds like a perfect romance with technology, doesnât it? It knows what you want before you even say it out loud. Sometimes itâs a little unsettling, but it also saves so much time.
But then, the question I ask myself: Can we really have everything on a silver platter â or rather, everything in a virtual cart, delivered directly to your door? Could this pursuit of algorithmic perfection make us lose something essential in our shopping experience?

Itâs true that AI could save us hours of endless shopping, but isnât there something magical about discovering a piece down an aisle đ, or even deep in a thrift store?
And letâs not forget the indispensable moment when, on the weekend, we grab our Vogue magazine (yes, I still dare to say you should buy the actual magazine, not just look at the photos on Instagram) and immerse ourselves in the glossy pages that transport us to dreams.
Online shopping is great, but an afternoon strolling through the streets, getting lost in little boutiques, thatâs the real magic of fashion for me đ©·
Letâs not underestimate the power of wandering the streets, the smell of leather bags, and the click-clack of my heels on the cobblestones.
Itâs a luxury to touch fabrics, to try on a dress that seems plain on an H&M hanger but transforms once worn.
That moment when you bump into a friend on the street you havenât seen in ages, not forgetting the essential stop for a coffee at the local Starbucks!
Yes, IRL shopping (as we say) still remains, after all, a true pleasure. Itâs an experience thatâs part of our lifestyle, and I think even AI will never be able to deliver that special feeling.
So there you go, one question remains: AI Genius or Fashion Faux-Pas?
Maybe sometimes we need to question the idea of a predicted life and see whatâs behind the algorithm. Who knows? Maybe the real fashion is the one that still surprises us.
đ XOXO,
